Cotton Clouds Support

Sarah has been guiding weavers through more than a dozen 4-shaft projects in her quarterly Facebook group Weave Alongs.

Cotton Clouds has collaborated and supported Sarah Jackson’s Weave Alongs by providing weavers with just the right amount of yarn colors for these numerous weaving projects. We are proud to have collaborated with her on this Peace of My Heart™ Prayer Shawl in both Bambu 12 and Tencel 8/2.

A Note from Sarah

Friends,

We’re living in a unique time, and I’m very grateful for the opportunity to connect with each and every one of you.

The following is written from my perspective as a Christian. If your faith is different, please feel free to adapt it as you choose.

This Weave Along is set up to help you experience God’s presence as a prelude to and while working on the Peace of My Heart Prayer Shawl. The four weeks will include a guided approach to prayer: You may take advantage of the guided approach or use it in any way that you choose or forego it altogether. I plan to share some of my favorite music, prayers, poetry, and art, and you are invited to do the same.

JOIN NOW! Whether you’re weaving along or just come for the community!

Knowing that others are praying at the same time and about some of the same things will remind us that we are a part of something that is bigger than just one person. The Lord himself said: “Where two or three are gathered in my name I am in the midst of them” (Matthew 18:20).

I encourage you to take time each day to “settle” into God’s presence before you begin to work on the shawl. Warping and weaving require concentration and accuracy, so while I don’t consciously pray during those times, praying first draws me into God’s presence and the connection stays with me throughout the weaving.

I encourage you to journal your prayers and thoughts throughout the Weave Along. Keeping some sort of record will bless you in unexpected ways when you review it at the end of the weave along. You don’t need anything fancy; I use a spiral bound notebook.

Looking forward to “seeing” you Monday morning, August 17- September 25, 2020!

Have a good weekend.

Blessings, Sarah
